Boris Johnston set the bar for integrity, decency, and competence in public office very very very low (what a shock for a guy who has been fired from every single job he ever had for lying). He got the crown of “worst prime minister” ever to hold office.

Along comes Liz Truss, voted into office by a tiny minority of elderly people who have big lawns, and then proceeds to grab that “worst prime minister” crown, and then proceeds to limo under the standards bar that Johnston established.

First week in office … kills the queen, crashes the currency, guilts, bonds, pension funds, mortgages rates, and stocks. Sends public debt to new record levels, and pushes inflation to a new high.

Takes a 2 week holiday, then comes back to double down on it all via a series of interviews that will now be a masterclass in “how not to communicate”

When the pound recovers then proceeds to claim … “all is well” and neglects to mention that was the £65 billion the bank just spent propping up the currency, not a response to her economic insanity that even motivates the IMF to say “WTF”.
