Hi Jeff,

There are perhaps three things to cover here.

Item 1 - Tags

The generally accepted norm is that when a topic is being discussed either negatively or positively then that tag gets utilised. You appear to hold a different expectation.

To ensure I understand you correctly, here are a couple of questions that may help me to understand your position.

Q1. Do you feel that posts that are only positive and not in any way critical should exclusively use the tag Christian?

Q2. Is your concern only related to criticism from people who are non-religious? For example suppose the post was critical of your beliefs and instead promoted a different version of Christianity, for example promoted Catholicism as the only true form of Christianity and asserted that your variation was heresy.

Q3. Suppose the post promoted an agnostic viewpoint, sat on the fence and neither supported, nor rejected ... would that be appropriate?

Item 2 - Doubting Thomas

I once claimed that I owned a pink dragon to a friend. He expressed doubt, and said, "Nope, sorry, I just do not believe that, you have to show me". So we trek over to my barn, I open the door and there inside is indeed a pink dragon. He checked and made sure it is not a model or an illusion and verified that it was indeed real, alive, and not a horse dressed as a dragon. He changed his mind and admitted, "Yep, you do indeed own a pink dragon". That of course then opened up a long discussion regarding where it came from and how this was possible.

That's basically the "Doubting Thomas" methodology.

So do you believe I own a pink Dragon now?

The details are above, so why don't you have faith that my story is true?

I think you get my point. I applaud the doubting Thomas methodology. He asked for evidence, he got evidence, and he changed his mind.

However, just as you do not believe my Pink Dragon story to be factual (basically because it conflicts with what you know to be real), I also doubt that the Doubting Thomas story actually happened ... because it conflicts with what we know to be real (dead people do not come back to life supernaturally).

Item 3 - Evidence?

We have covered this before, so there is no need to repeat all that.

However, you can perhaps see where I'm coming from here. If you wish to offer some independently verifiable objective evidence for your position, then please do feel free to do so.

All the best,

Dave
